Before sending out requests, read my Terms of Service carefully and have a look at the variety of work I am offering! This makes collaboration easier for both of us.

Character Illustration

You give me references of your character. This may be a detailed description or images I can reference from.
Then tell me more about your character, their background story, their favourite pastime, etc. Do you have a particular pose or mood in mind? Just let me know!

I will send you up to five thumbnails with compositional ideas. You may choose one and every step until colouring will be reviewed by you, so we get the optimal illustration out of it!

The following base prices include one character and no background or a background in one colour.

For each additional character I charge 50% of the base price.

Background depends on complexity and adds between 25% - 80% of base price. Price can be adjusted as we talk about the details.

Story & Zine Illustration

I offer elaborate scenic and atmospheric scenes accompanying your story.

You give me the story part you want to have illustrated, together with references of your character. This may be a detailed description or images I can reference from. Let me know more context or any important details you have in mind!

I will send you up to five thumbnails with compositional ideas. You may choose one and every step until colouring will be reviewed by you, so we get the optimal illustration out of it!

The following base prices includes two characters and a simple background.

For each additional character I charge 25% of the base price.

Background depends on complexity and adds between 25% - 50% of base price. Price can be adjusted as we talk about the details.

These Terms of Service are for noncommercial projects only and subject to revisions, editing, and additions without notice.

Payment Process

You may choose between two payment methods.

  1. The entire fee upfront (see also Terms of Service below) upon order.

  2. Split payment. (Half when the commission is ordered, and half upon delivery of the finished product.)

In both cases, I will send you an invoice.

Commission Process

  1. Fill out the respective form I provide for individual commissions and contact me. I will get back to you as soon as I can, and we can discuss the subject and the price.

  2. I will send you an invoice

  1. through Paypal, with which you can send your payment.

or

  1. with a reference number that you refer to in your payment through a bank transaction. (EU citizens only)

either entirely upfront or 50/50, see section “Payment Process”.

  1. Upon receipt of the payment, I will then send you up to five thumbnails with compositional ideas. You may choose one, if you have not provided a specific pose as reference.

  2. Then, I will provide you with a rough sketch from your chosen thumbnail. Feedback or correction requests are still welcome at this point.

  3. At the next draft, I will refine the sketch lines. Here you can still request minor changes (e.g. facial features).

  4. The moment I start the final detailed lines, no more changes may be requested. Except for colour corrections in the last stage.

I will send you the finished piece as a high-resolution digital .png and .jpg via a shared file hosting link, where it can be downloaded for 6 months. You may always request a different file format, if needed.

  1. If you have selected 50/50 payment, now is the time to send the second installment.

  2. You can contact me anytime if you want an update on the progress or ask general questions.

  3. If you are not satisfied with the work up to Point No. 5, let me know, I will stop work and give you a refund of 80% of the full price.

  4. All sketches and drafts are watermarked.

I retain the right to display all commissioned work on any personal website, gallery or journal, unless otherwise requested. If the commissioned work is a time-sensitive gift I will delay public showcasing at your request.

Unless negotiated differently, I retain all rights to the commissioned work and can use it for future profit, which includes prints and merchandise. You may not profit from the artwork, and this includes the sale of digital files, or rights to the image. Image rights can be negotiated for an additional fee.

I may not be available to answer emails on holidays, scheduled days off work or emergencies. If you do not receive an email reply within seven days, I encourage you to resend your email.
